چکیده

During the past 50 years, a number of paradoxes have led to the downfall of expected utility theory as a viable description of decision making. Recently, rankdependent theories (e.g. cumulative prospect theory) have arisen as the ―leading‖ descriptive approach. A key component of these theories is the decision weight that reflects the importance of consequences when evaluating an action. Several researchers have had success in fitting functional forms for decision weights to account for empirical data. However, little is known about the cognitive source of these weights. The current work presents a computational model that derives decision weights from elementary attentional processing mechanisms. It is shown that the attention process model provides a coherent explanation for several robust phenomena including some that cannot be explained by rank-dependent utility theories.

A comprehensive common weights data envelopment analysis model: Ideal and anti-ideal virtual decision making units approach

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) calculates the relative efficiency of homogenous decision-making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. Classic DEA models usually suffer from several issues such as: discrimination power, variable weights of inputs/outputs, inaccurate efficiency estimation for small number of DMUs, incapability in working with zero and negative data, and not having exter...

A New Dynamic Random Fuzzy DEA Model to Predict Performance of Decision Making Units

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a methodology for measuring the relative efficiency of decision making units (DMUs) which ‎consume the same types of inputs and producing the same types of outputs. Believing that future planning and predicting the ‎efficiency are very important for DMUs, this paper first presents a new dynamic random fuzzy DEA model (DRF-DEA) with ‎common weights (using...

Common weights for the evaluation of decision-making units with nonlinear virtual inputs and outputs

In this paper, by investigating the common weights concept and DEA models with nonlinear virtual inputs/outputs, we introduce a model for evaluating the decision making units with nonlinear virtual inputs and outputs based on the common weights.

Dynamics of a Running Below-Knee Prosthesis Compared to Those of a Normal Subject

The normal human running has been simulated by two-dimensional biped model with 7 segments. Series of normal running experiments were performed and data of ground reaction forces measured by force plate was analyzed and was fitted to some Fourier series. The model is capable to simulate running for different ages and weights at different running speeds. A proportional derivative control algorit...
